The International Classic Paintball League (ICPL), is the
premier league for the resurgence of the mechanical "classic" 10v10 and 5v5 formats. The ICPL hosts and sanctions numerous classic tournaments culminating with the Windy City Classic, the world championship of
mechanical paintball.

What is Classic Paintball?

Classic Paintball is a format of play using mechanical
paintball markers (rather than the modern electronic
versions) on various types of paintball fields (woods,
hyperball, mounds) made popular during the early
years of the sport (1980's-1990's). This format offers
an accessible version of the sport appealing to
everyone from beginners to hall of famers.

With several ICPL sanctioned events on the horizon,
it’s never too late to jump into the classic paintball
movement and prepare yourself for one of the numerous affiliate events coming to a field near. The 2024 season will begin with the Playa Classic in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, Feb 2-4.
